Monday Challenge: The hard drive clean up

This week’s Monday challenge is a simple kick in the butt to do what you have put off for months or years.

Clean up that hard dive, including all of your random files and folders, images, contacts, publications, and more.

As part of this clean up, be sure to embrace the cloud. It doesn’t matter if you use Dropbox, Box, OneDrive, iCloud, or any of the other dozens of services out there. Spending $100 a year on secure cross-platform cloud based file storage is some of the best money you can possibly invest.

Lifehacker has a great article to get to started, as well as How To Geek’s article on Zen and the Art of Folder Organization.

Regarding cloud based storage, PC Mag compares many services for 2016, and CNet writes about What Cloud Based Service is Right for You?

Here’s the key: we are entering a traditionally slower month in our business. Then we enter into the busiest time of the year. Make use of your time NOW to improve efficiency LATER.

It’s all about efficiency!

Certain things, like cleaning up your file systems, that you can work on now while you have time will multiply in value in the coming months.
