A challenge for today

I have a challenge for you. It has to be done by the end of the day. You’re responsible for it yourself, and only yourself. No bosses or managers to report to. No spouse or significant other to check in with when complete.

Ready?

Here you go: today’s challenge is to develop a challenge for yourself today.

This is one of the most powerful habits you can develop. Start each day with developing ONE challenge. Just one. Write it in a notebook. Make it clear. If it’s measurable, all the better. (Lean towards measurable challenges.)

It can be getting your inbox back to zero.

It can be a day without touching social media.

It can be touching four unsold accounts.

It can be cleaning out the car and organizing the desk so you work more efficiently tomorrow.

It can studying up on personal interactions as they relate to sales (hint: for any personal study challenge do it without distraction at a good library. You’ll learn ten times more in half the time by browsing books and reading them, rather than finding the click-bait through a Google search).

One personal challenge every day. Write it down. Then put a star next to it when it’s complete.

This is not a to-do list. It’s building into your day one action or set of actions that will make your life better tomorrow. Think of it in those terms.

What’s your challenge today?
