If you fail in selling wine and spirits to a particular account, and you get kicked out or have the account taken off your roster, you are off the hook.
Some sales reps, consciously or unconsciously, secretly try to fail in an account for this very reason.
Why? Because going through the truth and the process and the growth and the pain of trying to get better scares them even more.
Are you secretly sabotaging an account? Maybe without even planning to do so? Are you wishing to simply be let off the hook?
Maybe the fear of growth (and the fear of not achieving it) is holding you back.
