We all know that a downhill bike ride is pretty easy. It can also be a ton of fun.

You can cover lots of distance quickly. You can take your feet off the pedals and keep flying. You can take in the view and enjoy the wind.

Momentum in wine sales can sometimes feel like that too. A few good accounts, some great orders, lots of positive energy. Wheeeeeee!

Then you hit the bottom of the hill and turn around, looking up. Those same accounts suddenly need help, need focus, and need some love. Time to get to work.

You know momentum ends at some point. And you know riding back up the hill takes longer. Going uphill, you can’t take your feet off the pedals. You can’t take in the view.
